Anti-Opernball Demos zu erwarten, da die Demonstranten aus dem christlichen
Lager kommen.)

Der Lifeball:
Der Life Ball ist das größte Charity-Event Europas im Kampf
gegen die Immunschwäche AIDS. Der Ball setzt ein Zeichen von Solidarität
und Fundraising. Gefeiert wird das Leben mit einem opulenten offenherzigen
Fest, das verschiedenste Menschen und Persönlichkeiten aus Society,
Kunst, Mode, Wirtschaft, Politik und Playmates vereint. Der Life-Ball findet
jährlich in Wien statt. Hinter dem Life Ball steht der gemeinnützige
Verein "Aids Life", der 1992 gegründet wurde. Der Verein hat als oberstes
Ziel möglichst viel Geld zur Förderung von ausgewählten
Non-Profit Organisationen zu sammeln, die dann ihrerseits HIV-positive
und an AIDS erkrankte Menschen unterstützen und versuchen gegen die
Verbreitung von AIDS und deren Folgen anzukämpfen. Der gesamte Reinerlös
des Life Balls fließt in solche HIV / AIDS Hilfsprojekte.

It is very important for us to remember, that AIDS and the HIV situation
is a situation, that we gain from love. And it is a situation, that will
end with love. There is a tremendous amount of controversy that surrounds
the AIDS situation. And in all of the efforts we made and in all of the
efforts we choose, we have to constantly remind ourselves and others, that
there is no shame that love can not cure. There is no hatred, no controversy
and no walls, that can not come down when face with the power of love and
dignity.

You have a powerful system. Your President, your Prime-minister,
your former Prime-minister, your Mayors, your Deputy-mayors, your postal
system have come together and set an example on kindness and compassion,
of decency, digenty and elegance. Your country is a fine example of an
European nation can do.

Thank you for inviting me back here and for helping me to do good
work in Asia with our amfar-project.Thank you for being such an example
of goodness and kindness and compassion. Thank you for reminding us, what
